As far as going stiff on bags, would I have to go all the way up to achieve this? Has anyone had any first hand experence with the handling? I have jobs so if its similar to those then I'd be fine with it.

What should I expect to pay to build a 2.5" exhaust from the downpipe back, nothing but straight pipes and a glasspack or two? I'll provide the glasspacks so it'll basically just be labor+piping.

And before you tell me it'll be too loud, this is the setup that jake (the guy who makes m42 turbo kits) suggested for the street. I was planning on running a turbo muffler originally.
The first car I ever rode in was an e30

Your best bet is call a few places. My buddy got it done what I remember to be 2" exhaust on his e36 by a local shop with a cat, mufflerand tips, snd the little bung or w.e for the o2 sensor welded on for like $180. Maybe even less possibly.

He supplied all the parts of course.

                  Still call around, get quotes.

Damn, that's good to hear. I'll check with the local shops and see what they say. I was just trying to get a feel for it but $180 sounds pretty reasonable for labor.
