Today i went to the shop ready to swap my 02's transmission out, as it has been grinding really terribly at any speed above 65 and leaking out most of its happy transmission juices. I dropped the exhaust, unbolted the CSB, and the driveshaft fell away. Turns out the bigass nut that holds the trans output flange in had backed out and was flopping about. Tightened the nut back on, put everything back together, went for a drive, no grinding, no leaking.

So now I have an extra e21 5spd. And a car that does above 65. Woo.

I think the lack of a harmonic bLancer has something to do with it... I knew something looked weird when I linke up the driveshaft to the tranny and the guibo was flexing oddly...

Anyone got a spare guibo? Font care about condition.. Anything is better than my wires lol

Okay this is really off topic, but just because everyone seems to keep such close tabs on my life, i'd just like to mention that me and my crazy gf broke up this week, and now we're just friends and our relationship with each other is great. I'm pretty happy about the whole thing but it is weird not being with someone after going out for a year.
