      attach the tranny and starter before putting it in the car. same with taking it out do it all together.

        I did my swap with the tranny attached. It wasnt hard. Headers weren't attached and the exhaust was mounted on the car still. Those were difficult to mount to the block.

                pants. right above the starter there is a hole that you lift from. i've found it very hard to get to with the starter in, is the only issue. i've also pulled engines and put them in, using the motor mount arms. this also works.

                            Today was full of progress. I would've got the vanos on, but I'm missing the nuts for it... I'm also missing a bunch of other nuts and small pieces off the engine. Never again will I buy an engine in pieces. I'm sure the pieces were all there at one point, and I'm not bagging on golde30, but I've spent way too much on this already to have to buy more nuts bolts and small pieces. End rant.
