Yeah I'm stoked, and I have a 3.25lsd for it. So looking forward to the extra highway mpg. And the gearing limits me somewhere at 205mph

They are a distributor for supertech and can get you a good deal on springs.

Their head builder is very experienced with 24v bmw motors and they've built several world challenge race motors. They do a bit of bowl work as part of their standard rebuild which supposedly frees up some horsepower.

If you're a block away walk over and talk with Dave the owner, great guy.
Rebello Racing can do some great stuff. That said, its best to deal with them in person otherwise things can be stuck on the back burner.

That said, when Nissan USA needs one of their historic race engines rebuilt, they send it to Dave. He did the engine on the number 46 BRE 510 that John Morton drove. I had Dave build my cylinder head for my roadster, it cost a bit but in the end it was the highest flowing U20 head he had ever tested. I'll likely talk with him when I get around to rebuilding my s14 for the m3.

Dave does good work but you have to keep after him. He has bigger paying customers who need things yesterday so your stuff can end up on the back burner.

Good point, Dave himself told me to bug him regularly if he was taking too long. I was ok with them taking their time as they were in the middle of doing a bunch of work for several scca nationals teams and they still had my head and bottom end done within a few weeks.

Thanks for sharing some of their shop history, they've been involved in some pretty cool stuff over the years.

So I ended up picking up an E28 Mtech I spoiler and I have decided to try to restore it before I put it on. I came across this thread: http://www.r3vlimited.com/board/show...hlight=Spoiler The process should be pretty similar for this one, but mine is in better shape. My main question right now has to do with the primer he used. He said that he used an epoxy primer and it filled in all the weather cracks nicely. Do any of you guys have experience with epoxy primers in aerosol cans? If so, what brands should I look for for the best results?

epoxy primer usually isn't very good at filling in cracks, you might want to do a bit more research on that

the Elring < Goetze slightly in the fact that the gasket material is better but the silicon sealing is still inferior to the BMW
                      and will work semi well.
but when you compare them side by side you see the weaknesses and flaws of not going with the real HG. here you see the VR shit gasket, then the Elring and then the BMW
there is extra protection and accuracy in the BMW gasket. it also comes coated.
i've done 7 M20 gaskets. the only one I will now use is the OEM BMW one. period. i've never had an OEM one fail

yes it looks similar except for the beading. the BMW one has 2 layers stacked.

Thanks for the recommendations on the machine shops. While getting the head ready to take down to Robello racing, I noticed the rocker also nicked the cam lobe so I just bought this complete head off Ebay.

Think it was a good buy?

So the cylinder head gasket set that most sites sell is junk?
