ohhhh not a wire for electrical. you mean a cable. yes it's the kick down for the auto trans. when you push the gas pedal past the button on the floor it kicks down the trans.

yeah, you figure that after an o-ring caused the challenger shuttle to crash, engineers would have come up with a better alternative.

hahaaha you dont even know how hard it is to get the cable out to change that O-ring yet. you have to pull the pan on the trans and then the filter and then you can take that line out. JB weld the crap outa it and leave it

My m42 sounded just like that 6 months ago and it ended up being the tensioner. I ordered the updated version, installed it, no more noise. Easy to do too.
