Only thing that is better is a "712" (9/2001+) ZHP 3.0 156.5mm rack. larger turn ratio, but tight steering ratio and ~10mm of extra wheel travel. Tightest quickest rack BMW has ever produced

Again, I own this car and it's really nothing special, lol. Kinda sad really.

I'm pretty sure the Z4 M coupe rack is quicker.

I don't know exact numbers on that rack; I just remember one day at one point concluding the ZHP rack was quicker on paper. I could be wrong; it's been almost half a year since I researched racks

Z4 M Coupe is faster than non-M Z3, which is faster rack than 330i ZHP/later 330i production rack, which is faster than anything else.

None are truly modern fast except for Z4 MC. The rest are merely good. Going from my 95 M3 to Z3 non-M rack, which is suppsedly a huge difference, I noticed pretty much nothing off-center. On-center the 95 rack is slow, making it awesome for highway cruising, but beyond center it is also awesome on track/autox. There really wasn't much of a noticeable change, to the point that I don't feel it is worth the change if you've got an E36 rack already.

If you get your hands on a Z4 MC rack though, all bets are off. Z4 M Roady rack is not the same.

It was awesome as long as your car had power. Wouldn't be very fun in a Miata... but that's ok because that means it's fun in everything else
