Back on the road, with my dead Vorshlag engine mounts replaced with E28 M5 units. Should have used these in the first place. Still stiff/"sporty" feeling but not crazy with NVH. These are my new recommend for an M42.

I'm about to order mounts, do you have a PN? I thought e28 535i mounts were used, unless they're the same?

They are not the same PN, the 535i mounts came as a set, M5 mounts are separate.

Don't have PNs, but the shop was able to order them from what's on RealOEM; suggest using that.

Be prepared to trim the locating tabs as with the 535i units.

the sides, it depends on how you look at it. If you look straight on it is front of wheel arc and back of wheel arc, that would be from side to side. if it's looking from front or rear of car then side to side would be passenger to driver side. Anyways they are flush with top of fender and from passenger to driver.
