163hp/140ptq to the wheels isn't half bad considering the M3 left the factory with 194hp/160 rated (not wheel) figures.

That's a net loss of less than 1hp a year

That's a zero horsepower loss ever when you count for 15% loss because of gears. Lots of motorcycle guys claim a shaft drive robs 18% over a chain but that seems high.
