I still ride some. I'd be down, how about China Camp, a couple laps around there could be fun, especially the dark side.

In fact, I'm off for a road ride right now.

Here are my toys for the dirt. The oldest is now 20 years old, the newest might be 2001.

Yes, this S works is now 20 years old.

My normal ride, '97 Voodoo Djab. Titanium, about 22 lbs.

Klein Adept Pro Carbon, I haven't ridden this thing in 7 years or so. Its now set up as a single speed.

The extra beater bike. Its actually really light and rides well. About 23lbs and no longer a single speed.

                            my bike CSB:

my family used to ride bikes a lot when i was a kid. bunch of cannondale kit with shimano parts in our garage, i guess that was good at the time?

anyway about 20 years ago, we went on a tour of NM with a company called backroads bike tours.

either 3rd or 4th day, i forget, we're headed away from taos, for a hotel in the northern part of the state, and that night's ride ends with a descent into a valley.

my mom got tired and was in the "ok i'm bitchin out" van (aka the "sag wagon"), and they caught up with me on flat ground just as we entered the descent into the downhill sequence leading to the bottom of the valley. for those of you who went to bimmerfest, it was not dissimilar to doing the downhill @ GMR, only add in cattle grates.

she says they were doing 45mph on the downhill and i was pulling away. people in the van were like "[mom's_name], that's your son!' and she's like "I KNOW *freakout*"

gps and gopro didn't exist back then, so all i can honestly say is making it through that sequence of curves alive, at that speed, was my favorite life experience so far, and i'm going to have to try really hard if i ever want to top it. i haven't yet had that much fun on one of my motorcycles.
