I technically have late model suspension and rear brake conversions waiting with a 3.73 LSD sitting as well

Looks like the perfect daily platform for a family project for a new driver

      Plus, factory 5-speed.. And RAs

Looks like a clean pick up but I can't snatch it up

Sure if you want to do all that work... M10 with a 3.73 med case will still be dog slow though. Like slower than a 1.6 miata. Maybe that's your thing but it ain't mine

I had a M10 318 once. Quite the experience it was.

I will never buy a 318 again, they are slow pieces of shit.

My friend back in the day had a M10 318 that was bone stock but had some sticky Toyos. I have never seen Hicks Rd raped so hard before in my life. Body roll and a complete momentum car, but damn it was fun. Also, they are the lightest E30 to show up on our shores. Even after adding the better parts you still have a nice weight advantage over other E30s. Important if you are into those things.

I've always loved safari beige. That car is a pretty good deal considering the wheels and awesome color, I had no idea they had the small rear end like an e21, however I did know of the drum rears.

Still this is the only e30 engine they have a carb legal turbo kit for, the century/BAE turbo kit, hard to source completely but I'm sure with it done this car would be an absolute blast.

That and the rear end and diff lol.

                  0-60 mph: 11.4 seconds (manual)
                  1/4 mile: 17.3 seconds
                  Top speed: 106 mph

Now imagine how slow it is with 200k on it.

Yeah that thing will barely hit 80 in a highway setting.

More weight than an e21 and my e21 topped out around 85 on the flat highways.

Going downhill pinned was a thrill hitting like 95, feels like your going 130 because it's so sketchy LOL!

Not necessarily, I had an even slower car for my first car, two ton 1977 240d, needless to say after I moved on I had a need for speed, even in my eta or my pos e21

Oh my god I drove one of those in my valet years (over a decade ago holy fuck I am old) 4 speed manual. I thought hey cool a stick shift old school benz... until I pressed the gas pedal and nothing happened. I was used to a Miata at the time so it's not exactly like I was expecting a lot but that thing was actually dangerously slow. Like having trouble merging even with a head start.

I just looked it up, 65hp

They actually DONT weigh more when you compare the M10 models

Both models are around 1100kg (~2400lbs)

also, I drove my cousins corolla this weekend (2000s model shitbox) and I tried to accelerate on the freeway and absolutely nothing happened. It was scary, I was trying to merge over and had to slam on the brakes because I was running out of real estate

Haha yeah mine was auto as well. Slowest thing ever, turning left on a blvd in town was damn near suicide unless you waited till you had a huge gap.

I loved the shit out of that car though, I want another but 300d turbo with a manual gearbox.

Sooooo I put the rear up in the air.

Took the wheels off to make sure the calipers bolts were not backing off.

I get a smart idea, hey I'll run it in the air see if I can find any issues. Rear passenger idling in fourth seems fine,

However driver side there seems to be a small amount of play in the rotor itself, and a small clunking noise, once on every revolution, doesn't sound like the diff it sounds like it's in the rotor, probable the e-brake shoes...

Gotta get to the bottom of this mess -.-
