I almost got in a wreck yesterday in sac.
I'm coming off the 5 north ramp into 80 west and there's someone pushing a van in the merging lane on 80, it's on a bridge over the Sacramento River. I'm following my dad and we both get stuck behind then traffic going beside us at 80 hardly any chance of getting over. I notice a scion xb on the on ramp behind us and he's continuing speeding up. He's going at least 70 and straight for the rear end of my e30 and i literally yelled no no no no!!!! And I moved forward and to the right as much as I could and braced for impact.
The guy squeals tires around me at what seems to be 80 mph and into the traffic on 80 and miraculously doesn't kill himself or anyone else. I was so sketched out and shaky that shit sucked.Comment

NOR-CAL General Chat.
Anyone got suggestions on how to remove seized rotors?
Have two struts off the car completely disassembled except for the rotors; they're seized to the hubs. Soaked in WD40 and PB Blaster and gently hammered on with no luck; gonna try vinegar and a rubber mallet next.Comment

release your handbrakeComment

Yeah!!!
Why are you gently hammering them? Use a real hammer.Comment

well, my reading comprehension last night was more off than your struts.
remove the setscrew. hammer the face of them, toward the bearing to break the corrosion off then hammer them off with a real hammer.
P.S.
Alex, are you back in the e30 game yet?Last edited by Cabriolet; 08-13-2014, 12:40 PM.Comment
