Picked up most of an mtech 2 kit........... :)

Anyone have a good thread with pics for installation? I remember seeing a build thread once where a guy did a pretty in depth guide on how to do it...

                This man knows his sheit.
Oliver has only had an e30 m3 and not aware of the door holes being there.

you will be putting in tons of holes. and then you will need to primer them so they dont rust. you may not need to do the rockers like Matt did though. bc you have rocker trim that coupes like matt's dont have.
you can see all the clips on my old car.

Guys my e30 just got broken into but nothing was taken or broken. The car was locked up with the battery unplugged, however i noticed my drivers side door panel kind of out of place but no sign of forced entry. Also my gas tank wont close or lock anymore does that have to do with them breaking into it somehow? my car is crashed and waiting for repairs im kind of lost right now i have no idea who could have done it a couple of others car have gotten broken into in my residence this past month. :(

Are you looking to get OEM keys cut from a code, or getting a key traced?

Go OEM otherwise a traced key will not be accurate. Its worn, so the newly cut key will be worn and be even worse off than the original. Do it right and it will work as it should unless the tumbler is so worn out that it only likes the equally worn original.

+1 the only thing is that this is a pita to do. I went to the dealer got the code, then went to a locksmith willing to cut steel keys. They would charge like 30 bucks to get a key from the code cut and then like 20 a piece for the steel keys. The problem was that they said the code for, the dealer was wrong. What a PITA

Check engine light went on in my 4 door. Runs and drives fine, it is due for an oil change however.

                                Should I worry about it?

Regarding keys. BMW keys are made from a lot stronger material than what you might buy at a local locksmith, so that is another thing to think about. Don't want to break a key off into the ignition cylinder. My current key is non-orginal and is bent.
