timing belt kit, waterpump, sparkplugs are in the mail.
R32 bushings are in the mail.

had bugformace put two new CVs in today.
all this and we are still in less than $5k for everything for this car. at this point my e30s would be ending 10k.

purchase price, taxes, coilovers, headlights, front bushings, stereo, wp/tb, tune up and new 1/2 shafts not installed by me. would be about 10k for a clean stock e30 with 129k miles.

I had a mk4 diesel Jetta years ago. I definitely wouldn't trade an e30 for that car, turbo and all.

I drove my friend's Mk IV GTI a few times before he crashed it. It was heavy and felt quite sluggish. Compared to my stock E30 with blown suspension it felt numb and I really did not like it.

Is there anyone in the SF bay area? I am in Honolulu, HI. I have a grantsilber vert and someone hit my car today. There is a salvage grantsilber vert with a good body. It is going to be cheaper for me to buy the car in SF, and have someone send me the bumpers, etc. Whatever I dont need you can keep , AKA engine/trans etc.

here's why. the 318is is trying to be a sports car but isn't, where as the jetta accepts what it is and does it's job. You don't drive an e30 bc it's great mpg, you drive it to have fun. I've driven Steven's, Erfan's and one other guy with a silver one and none of those 3 cars was any better than a stock fwd 2.slow jetta. hell, the best car i've ever been it was a G60 corrado with full cage. it may not be as fast as an s52 e30 but it would easily take almost any e30 at a track, autoX or canyons.
