Hey man, I'm local here in napa as well! Shoot me a pm with your phone number if you'd like to meet up some time. My buddy and I are always wrenching on our e30's. Seems like we're the only two active enthusiasts in town haha!

Good to see some fellow E30 Napa guys!
I work a LOT and my hours are all over the place. (I just finished a 17 hour day) It seems that I frequently do my wrenching at 3AM these days. When my car is road worthy again we will have to get together. These days I have been running around town in my powder blue triumph spitfire. Hard to miss it.
My E30 was pretty banged up in the earthquake and I just got her back on her tires. I was 75% way done with her Suspension/Steering refresh and she fell off her stands and onto her side.... and then back down onto her stands again. Im going to pull her apart in a couple weeks and finish the Suspension/Brake/5Lug upgrades. I found a Z3M roadster rear clip so I am currently rebuilding the axles and looking for a medium case 3.91 or 4.10 to swap in with my M42 until I swap in the M60/S62.1991 BMW 318i - Parts Gathering for MZ3 5Lug and M62 Swap

I have a spare 4.11 LSD, I just need to find a rear cover for it. I scored a fresh rebuilt one but it doesn't have a cover. I'm looking to install the new one when I do the rear bushings on the car in the near future. Anyone have a rear cover they want to sell?

Most of the yards in the area wont sell just the cover. You can pick up an entire diff for as low as $50 at a local yard off Car-Part.com. If it was me, I would go to a pick and pull and grab a cover for $10-$20. The Fairfield one is the worst, but even that one should have a usable diff cover...1991 BMW 318i - Parts Gathering for MZ3 5Lug and M62 Swap

So I think my fuel pump went bad. Drove my car home from bimmer fest it made it all the way just fine no issues I get home park it and the next morning I go to start it to go to work and it just cranks and cranks and cranks. No fuel up to my cold start valve didn't get a chance to check the other side of the engine. What's wrong? Fuel pump? It's weird how I can park my car with fuel up to the engine then wake up the next morning with no fuel in the lines.
Also if I have an eta is it possible to use a late model fuel pump? I need to get my car running I have to smog it before the end of the month.
