my set of koni's set me back only $33 after selling the dinan springs. =P

I use HD's with my IE3's. They're fine but I need something with a little more dampening. Was thinking Koni adjustables or I can get the mustang konis.

Also, I love the new diff. It's perfect for my freeway commute. Has WAY more traction, and when I get the wheels loose, it's way more fun.

Common misconception for the 1995 M3 rack.. It's actually the worst one out there.

Secondly, the '95 M3 rack is SLOWER in the center of the rack and has LESS overall travel than the regular E36 rack. This is mainly because of the different steering geometry of the '95 M3, as you recall they have a different spindle/control arm/CAB setup than the rest of E36 cars. Yes, it's 3 turns flat lock-to-lock but it's still progressive, and the overall degree-to-travel ratio is slower as there is less overall travel. Basically, on any given chassis this rack is inferior to the regular E36 rack despite the lower lock-to-lock number. I know you've read otherwise on E30 sites, and I have too. But, say it with me: screw the '95 M3 rack.

Cliffs: Z3 rack > regular E36 rack > '95 M3 rack. Do it.

I say go Z3 or don't even change it at all. All e36 racks suck because they are progressive, and that leads to a mushy steering feel always. Even then, not all Z3 racks have a 2.7 L2L. They are all linear, but the Z3 1.8 and 2.4 had a 3.2 L2L (identical to the e36 m3, but it didnt suck), and Z3 2.8s had the 2.7 L2L linear pull racks. Go Z3 or go home.

Hell, I dunno, I've never paid attention. I just know it's much better than stock, and makes the car go a different direction when I turn it.
