The m20b25 in my '91 coupe has been making some bad bottom-end noise for months, but last night it got much worse. It used to only rattle from 3-4k, but now it's at all parts of the rev range all the time.
The good news is that I now have motivation to start building a stroker, bad news is I still need that car for my daily.
Does anyone have a decent m20b25 laying around they'd sell for cheap? I just need it to last a couple months while I rebuild the current engine.

Ay, just curious, if I were getting a flywheel resurfaced, lightened, balanced, and a crank balanced for my m30 what's a ballpark price on that? Not sure ifvI'm being played or not but I've been having a hell of a time with a machine shop.
I think I was charged like $80-$100 to have mine resurfaced and balanced. I also got a head pressure tested, cleaned, and decked at the same time. Paid a total $200 at a local Napa Auto parts I think it was.
If anyone in the SF bay area has done an m30 swap I'd love to check it out/talk about it. Currently planning on switching routes from m52b28 to m30. That being said, I'll probably have a few 24v swap bits for sale soon
Well, last night sucked. I likely have no place to live anymore. Fire went right through my part of town. I left when the flames were 200 yards from my house. Got the M3 (Alfa and Roadster are up in St Helena) some of my bikes, camera equipment, both computers and my gecko out, but I'm 99% sure I lost everything else.
