Cary, your not worried about rust ripping apart the rings, if block is running studs or bolts and valves rusted closed and open?
Unless the HG is blown, shouldn't be rust inside the cylinder, unless it sat outside this whole time... Also that's why I say pour some oil in the spark plug hole, let sit, and rotate crank by hand. My s52 sat for over 10 yrs, followed my procedure and motor is strong!
