I need to get new tires for it though. They're way too tall and rub on the fender lining a lot. Anyone have suggestions on good, "cheap" (affordable rather) tires for 16x8's?

I would've hit you up on my drive back, but the GPS took me through Stockton instead of the bay.

Anyone have any tie rods laying around? That's the biggest thing stopping my car right now. Both the ball joints decided to start spinning and no matter what I do I can't get the damn things on. I think the threads in either the nuts or the tie rod are messed up too, although they don't really look like it.

Did you use a jack to hold the tie rod ball joint in the steering knuckle?

Got the cooling hoses all figured out on the s52! If you guys are going to do an s52 swap and are going to use a late model radiator, you can use all s52 e36 m3 hoses for everything.

I can't wait to take it out to meets! I'm so anxious to drive it, never been in an s52 e30, only s50.

I did own a 1998 m3 though, but the weight difference will definitely be felt.

Yup just jack up the tie rod ball joint from the bottom into the steering knuckle and the pressure should keep it from spinning. Having an impact helps too but it shouldn't be needed.
