All said and done it'll probably be 2k with the proper gauges and all new engine/transmission gaskets. He says he'll have a big update with pricing, specs, availability, etc. in around a week. The first car I ever rode in was an e30

Well his pricing is about $1700 for the complete kit. Everything else is just what I decide to spend on maintenance at the same time. For 3k I'd do a turbo m20 and make twice the power more reliably.
I'm out for the night, I'll check back in here in the morning. The first car I ever rode in was an e30

and there not much heavier than an m20 at all.
IIRC there was a thread a while back claiming m30's weigh 20 more lbs or something like that.
i love the way they look personally, they look like they belong in the e30 engine bay.

They'll want like $150-200ish. The main reason I don't want to buy your m50 is because I'll basically have to assume that the head is warped or cracked and all the bearings are shot. I have a known good bottom end coming in this afternoon, and if I can pull a head from pnp (that I can just return if its cracked or damaged) and spend a couple hundred on that, I'll have a refreshed head and a bottom end with new rings for much cheaper than a full rebuild. The first car I ever rode in was an e30

the M50 is than the m30. they both produce similar power, both should be rebuilt and the M50's center of mass is farther back. parts for the swap are easier to get. im just not seeing the benefits of this m30 idea. plus if i am not mistaken LBV has a 1992 and there is no M30 that new, so he wont be able to bar the car.
benefits of the m30: looks better, sounds better and takes boots very well.
