so guys i have a quick question im gonna be doing a 5 speed swap soon and i have a deal for a whole tranny and everything needed but there out of a 85 and mines a 89. question is will it bolt up? i know the 85 is a 2.7 and the 89 is a 2.5

dont do it. i have what i believe is an early in mine. it's caused numerous issues. get a late model.

That should be a piece of cake job then, let me know if you need some elbow grease when you do it. I still remember doing the rear bearing vividly.

I did my swap quite fast! If I never wasted time with the m20 it probably would have taken me ~4 months total to paint the engine bay and get it in and running.

Remember I did the headgasket on my piece 325 too!

maybe, but more likely just offering my services. i usually keep a stock of wheel bearings and breaks on hand all the time.

I bought the harbor freight wheel bearing tool, I've had to do 6 bloody wheel bearings on my 3 e30s, tool works surprisingly well, haha.
