dayum, corey, didn't mean to set you off- i just remembered what it cost the last time i looked at a factory replacement cat and that seemed cheap by comparison.

Well I have a misfire in cyl 2 and 3 on my four door guys.

Did compression test and came up with.
1-135 2-140 3-140 4-140 5-140 6-140.

Spark is good on cyl 2 and 3.

What next, fuel? The injectors are rebuilt m50 17# ones.

my first guess is try a different ECU.

Yeah, that is a good suggestion, but I do not have a spare ecu. They are expensive to try right now.

If anyone has a 173 ecu they can let me borrow to see if that is the problem I would appreciate it.

An airbox shouldn't be 6-700?
You can pick one up second hand cheap. The exhaust will be quite expensive though

and let me know when you find special smog. I need it too.

edit: hell; what danny said. Magnaflow says OBD1 S50 gets two of part 36004... $207 each at summit racing. i don't know how you're gonna get an OBD1 S52 past the ref, but the cats ain't your excuse.

much appreciated. hoping to get this done next week. my AFR is tuned for right around 14 so i'm squeaky clean on the sniffer; just need someone who'll forget/not know that the m42 didn't originally come with 4 throttle bodies...

I have an '87 harness which is still early model, so I do not believe that one will work. Has somehting to do with the motronic stuff
