Of course they do, Idk what kind of e30 bbs rs don't look good on. 15" look gay though.

And, I just don't like them. I actually prefer early us cars with late model valences over anything else. Besides euro bumpers of course.

We all have an opinion, and that's mine.

The first car I ever rode in was an e30

Timing belt time, which means TB, water pump, and tensioner.
Deciding I want to pack out spark plugs, oil/filter, V-belts, and thermostat so those are gonna get ordered too
Gonna do ODO gears as well since I want to track my miles on the new oil/timing belt

Anything else to do while I'm at it?

Can someone please post some more photos of those e46 wheels on the white e30?
I am THIS close to going for some no-lip modern wheels like those and would love to see some more, similar cars.

Any timing cover gaskets, coolant obviously, hoses if needed. I can't think of anything else...

I loved doing the timing belt on the black car.

your ds will pull it off very nicely.
go for it bdro, or maybe some 20 spokes

17s suck in so many ways for an E30. The best upgrade I've done to my car was going back to the stock 15s. The fuel mileage went up, it turns better, stops better, the ride is better also the 17s just weight too much and in the wrong place (rotational weight is never a good thing). Not to mention you can't run a decent sized tire on one and not have it rub everywhere. On top of that, you end up wrecking the wheels because they don't have any sidewall. Ask me how I know. Been there and done that. They lasted 3 weeks when I bought the car, all 4 were bent, one was cracked. They were a really nice set of ACT/Ronal SX 7 spokes. The worst thing about 17s on an e30 is that it makes it look like a hot wheels car.

I'll be honest, I'd kill for a set of M-Tec 2s (Throwing stars). I love those wheels without the covers on them, but I'll never run a set on an E30. If they came in a 16, I'd be on them in a heart beat.

If a car comes with 17s and is designed for 17s, they look good, but for something that was designed for a 14, they look dumb. Before anyone brings up the fact that the E30 M3 DTM cars ran 18s, they also had bigger fenders, back cut inner fenders, no fender liners and a few other changes to get them to fit. Even so, they still look goofy on the cars.

See sig for 17" perfect fitment. Wheel size does not matter, wheels + tires in correct 609ish mm. Paired with proper suspension setup and offset are all needed to pull off great usable looks. I track my setup with 1mm clearence, 17" wheels are better than 15-16. They offer limited sizes for width.

If you think smaller wheels get better mpg, it only proves you don't know how to measure proper size tires. My 17x9 235/40 is the same height as STOCK BMW spec 195/65-R14. Fronts are a tad shorter...than BMW spec (no stretch). btw my 17x9s weigh less than EMS 16x8. And 4lbs more than stock wheel+tire. My old 16x8.5 BBS RS were 15lbs lol.

Bigger wheels(within reason) yield less side wall. That means less spongy flex while gaining control/grip from more tread contact.

Factory wheel size does not mean shit. Proper fitting tires and offset fitment only matter. P.S. I Built 14, 15, 16 & 17 wheels. Each size has the proper use.
