    When/where was this?

Also, question out to all you swap guys with your fancy smancy s5x motors and ZF trannies. How is the e36 slave feel in the clutch pedal? Comparable to e30s (Really heavy?) or is it somewhat softer?

The first car I ever rode in was an e30

lol i think the fastest I saw you can go on any of the islands is 55mph and there was a guy driving a ferrari, such a waste. But you can always go as fast as you want until you get caught.

The fastest speed limit I've seen here is 55 for about 2 miles stretch of road. I'm so glad I didn't pay to have my M3 shipped here for the week. The poor thing would overheat like it was in traffic.

Road to Hana was great when I went to Maui 2 years ago. Although the rental car company wanted to sell us the full coverage on the rental vehicle that we rented and even if we did they would not cover off road related damage.. They also said that we should not take the vehicle all the way around the island though Hana because there was an offroad unpaved portion that many people beat up the suspension components and undercarriage on. We said F it and went all the way around anyway. Was not too bad although when Hwy 31 turned into Hwy 360 we did have to take the unpaved part slow.

With all the twists and turns on that road it takes forever to get to Hana. Did you see all the stripped cars on the side of the road when departing? Its so funny that you expect to see this beautiful scenery and then there are these ripped up and dismantled cars that have grafitti sprayed on them just a few miles into the journey. I have pics of them somewhere on an external hard drive. Great times! Lahaina is like Los Gatos with an amazing ocean right next to it. The graveyards right off the streets there are pretty interesting as they are just so open and exposed.

Sounds like you did some snorkeling in "Turtle Town" as well. Dont touch those big turtles as they are a protected species and huge fines will result if caught. I checked out the photos and it takes me back to memories of my trip as I recognized so many of the locations.

A tip: Dont buy the Plumeria cuttings (usually sold in the Kahului airport and other shops) and think that you can just bring them back and plant them and have a full blooming Plumeria that is as beautiful and fragrant as in the islands. I read and performed every step on the cuttings that I purchased and ended up with a bunch of dead sticks in pots.

Check out Paia Town if you have the time. Its more like old Hawaii and has a great funky vibe to it with all of its Craft Collectives , Art Galleries, Restaurants, and shopping
