            to figure out my wiring
            everything lol.

so basically its a 95 s50 with matching harness, but the x20 plug was damaged in the accident of the donor car. x20 plug shattered between the abs pump and the strut tower, so i clipped all the wires at the x20 to solder on the c101 plug.

            my car is a 2/87 build, 1987 325is.
using 413 red DME (i have 2 just in case)
            new crankshaft ps
            new dme relay

I went through the schematics to make my own wiring chart for the x20/c101 conversion (done this 2-3 times), nothing at turn key.

at this time no cel, fuel pump, or icv with key on. I tried to source the issue so i looked at the main relay. the ground wire on the main relay I stripped a section of casing back to tap into it, which the other end i added to the ground at the strut tower. THEN the CEL, ICV, and fuel pump work. but still no fire under cranking.

thinking its maybe bad ground i cleaned all the ground points, nothing.

anyone got any advise on where to look next?

i think i am going to sit down and start to trace every which will take time, but any suggestions would help

Damn dude.. Sounds like a mess, and looks like one in your sig :p..

Do you think maybe you have a ground wire connected to the power distribution block? or vice versa? Also, is any fuel getting to the lines? Spark? Spray a little starter fluid into the intake manifold, crank over and see if the engine ignites (it'll confirm that you have spark at least).

i feel like its something small but im lazy so i just got to get off my ass and swift through wires ha. but i am sure i got the power and ground wires right (no casing so all wire colors are visible) and yes the one in my sig, i took all the covering/casing off the harness to make wire sorting easier. Im going to put more work in it tomorrow or friday. trying to get it up for bimmerfest wooohoo
