Your spoiled on how plentiful these cars are. Just wait until parts start becoming scarce. As far as pick-n-pull goes, they are a business. And as Mike Damone would say, "i provide a service, and the service cost money."

If they at least partially dismantled cars, they could make a lot more money with people not destroying hundreds in parts to get to one thing, and then they could charge more reasonable prices. I'm sure they have their reasons for not doing this but w.e.

They purchase cars at below scrap value. Everything pulled off the car is pure profit. Pulling parts would require them to hire skilled labor, invest in a cataloguing system, and storage facilities for those parts. All of that equals a lot more money. If it doesnt make dollars, if doesnt make sense.

So they just get cheap cars (like 400 each or something right? or do they just buy masses of them from people with donations and pay super cheap?), milk whatever parts they can from them, and crush the rest?

Sure was. I tried sneaking a wave back. Back home, e36 owners are usually douches, so it was a little unexpected for me.

I just did my timing belt/fan clutch/water pump/thermostat/coolant. Car sits at 3/8 unless I'm exiting off an offramp/sitting. Even so, it never goes passed 1/2 now.

My e30 runs like brand new

is your coolant temperature supposed to sit at 3/8 or 1/2 most of the time?

Mine sits at 3/8 because I bought the low rated thermostat; mines rated at 76*
Most people run 90* and it sits at 7/16-1/2. I just bought the lower rated one cause it's Cali and it's always friggen hoooooot

                          Don't worry I saw it.

And you hit the nail on the head. The owner is a douchebag. Danny will vouch for that. haha

He needed a lug bolth and asked if I wanted to go to pnp with him so I said sure. I paid $2 to get a door handle frame and a lock thingy.

The endlinks' bolts were seized on and i didn't care enough to pull them off at the front of the line. Ill just go back another day and get it/pull another if I really want it.
