I just used a box cutter and cut a straight line behind the gas pedal all the way up to the firewall. Fit it in place and it damn near unnoticeable once put in place again. I had no clue how to remove just the pedal so I resorted to that. No will even notice anyways.Comment

the actual pedal it self i am not having a problem with but the leevr that attaches to the pedal and to the throttle cable on the other side, that lever just came offComment

Ouuu, thought it was a carpet issue. Well then, I am of no use since I never disassembled the pedal. Hope somebody knows the solutionComment
