Certain e30's can pull off 17's. But they're generally super clean.

I agree with the above. 16's, in my opinion, are the best balance between size and being able to mount meaty tires.

General rule for wheel size on any car
+0": Stock and generally too small to begin with
      +1": Still not enough

^True for pretty much every car.

I'm in the "donk" range on the e34, but the arches can handle an extra 4". Giggity.

Guess I will go post where people like 17's :(

I actually sort of agree that 17's are too big, but sometimes 16's just look too small. So I force myself to want 17's.

Regardless, I need wheels for my car sooner or later. I want a "five spoke" design and it seems like there are not many out there.

          You guys recommend any?

If you have proper diameter tires 16's have quite a bit of rubber. Lots of people run shit like 205/45 on a 16 which is nearly an inch undersized diameter-wise. I'll be running 205/45/17 next month. I like 17's but personally don't like the ones you posted. As far as 5 spokes...I love Borbet type A's. Joey brought me a set last night. The deep dish ones are the best (9" wide, or more if you're adventurous) in my opinion.
The first car I ever rode in was an e30

Honestly, 16" are too small if youre going for a slammed and flush look. 17" are perfect if your building a car that has more emphasis on show than go

16s are just the generic acceptable size because you can fit them on most lowered e30s without heavy pulling and only simple fender rolling; most 17s require extra work on slammed cars

I just put borbet type Cs on my 3

I replaced the 18" MPARS on my 540i with a 17" set of Style 42s. Both are sick, style 42s in 18" are the nuts, but 17" wheels are faster and have better gas mileage

I do not even classify A's as a five spoke wheel. Its more like a complete dish. I am over them after seeing some in person. I reaalllyyy like Danny's slipstreams, but they appear too small for me.

If I run 16's I will run meaty ass tires like 225/50 or 55.

I also want to run 17's with some decent meat on them and roll my fenders. I like the way F34R's car/wheel/tire/fenders look.

The only thing that turns me off is once you roll/pull fender you cannot go back.

I sort of have more emphasis on show at the moment, but in the future I honestly want to do a kickass swap.

16's and 17's are nice regardless. I think 16's for 2 doors and 17's for four doors. I know the car is exactly the same size, but the extra doors give everything a different appearance to me.

Also, found a picture of them on a car.

Tell me something will look like shit once your car runs.

I can see them looking cheap, but i also see some potential.

I do it too often. I do not find much.

Your wheels are ugly to me anyways. I would have flipped them. They are too small.

                            these are better and cheaper.
took me a min of searching to find.
