we did look at that building, called them for an appointment, didn't hear back and followed up with the several that did. it looked nice; double-paned windows probably mitigate the white noise from the freeway, which was my only concern.

probably comparable to the place i'm talking about, which is 2 doors down from the hipsterific-looking Cafe Biere. right on the emeryville/oakland border (as in, the "Welcome to Oakland, bitch!" sign is where the building ends).

don't do it. get a clutch-type. i like my torsen, but i don't tend to get sideways very often, so maybe ask Ian what a drifter thinks of those.

Welded diff = chirping your tires while you turn at really low speeds. Unless you solely want it for drifting purposes then I think you'll be okay, but for everyday driving, you would attract cops.
