What is weird is that other peoples' phones don't have the same issue when being charged by the same charger. It's odd.Comment

If a different charger doesn't help and it's better in another car, it is also possible that the regulator on the alternator is going bad. Generally they can be changed out easily and are like $30 (iirc).
