Okay cuz there's an E30 near me that a couple of us are interested in but the timing skipped so it'll at least a new head and valves but it's so clean. I still think he's asking too much but maybe soon he'll realize what we are willing to pay for it.

yeah at the end of the day, if you do everything besides the machine work yourself (deck, hot tank, and pressure test) it shouldnt run you more than $500 including parts and machine shop work.

i'd definitely recommend pulling apart the head yourself, lapping the valves yourself, and putting in new valve stem seals yourself.

Well when I picked up the M3, that needed a head a valvetrain and I think after all the shop labor was said and done, the bill was 1300 or so+ the 400 for the head and valves. I can't remember exactly. But I do know and E30 is more user friendly then the 36

its super easy. one of the first projects i ever did on my car, before i learned really almost anything at all. didnt even know brakes.

my only mistake on that project was not getting the head pressure checked.

i also live in E Sac. it's only old people that live here and speed bumps that would kill any nice car.

HAHAHA you definitely have sacramento humor. Well im having a stupid issue with my passenger tail light. Fuse #23 keeps popping cause theres a short in the wiring. Pulled so much shit out of my interior today to find the stupid short and to my surprise there wasnt a single fucked up wire. I pulled the diode next to antenna motor and cleaned the board. That still didnt do shit. Lol im just like fuck my life. I just rebuilt my motor and shaved/painted my engine bay but i cant fucking smog it cause itll fail inspection.
