    Anyone willing to help out?

    So, I finally got all the final bits and pieces I need for my 5-speed swap. Little did I know; I don't have the tools (Clutch allignment tool, inverted-torx set, rediculously long extension to remove the top torx bolts on the tranny) or nearly enough knowledge about transmissions to do the swap correctly... I'm not exactly sure if anyone is willing, but hey, it's worth a shot: if I don't ask, I'll never know right? :)

    I need one or two kind souls who know a little more than I do about e30s and tranny swaps (which won't be hard lol) who could donate their time and brawn in helping me finally get rid of my automatic. Bills are piling up, and I need to cash in on the equity in my car by selling the automatic transmission parts on Craiglist (where I could get top dollar from non-enthusiast guys) or here on r3v (where I know I could get a sale for the rest of my parts).

    If anyone is willing to help, i would seriously appreciate it! I cant really offer much in return (maybe some parts, I got a little stash piling up now) but I'm willing to compensate for gas and lunch ;)
    Car is located in Yorba Linda, CA
    Thanks to anyone in advance!

        Sweet... Looks like I'm getting the help I need quick :)
        Thanks guys!

        @Mkc
        I'll keep that offer in mind; if anything happens, or if I have other labor intensive stuff that I'm out-manned in, I'll definitely keep in touch. You'll be the first to know ;)
        I haven't exactly delved into the deeps of e30 maintanence and moding, but I definitely love helping other e30 people's on their builds and learning new stuff myself

        Thanks again everyone!! So relieved this is finally getting resolved..!

          If I were in Orange county I would be there now to help. Good luck with that switch, it will truly add to the enjoyment of that car.

            Thanks man! I think forthe most part, I'm all good, just gotta wait for Monkey to finish monkeying around with his Turbo build and we can get started on my swap. I had a couple guys from SoCale30 (they're core consists of a more central San Diego crowd, check it out!) say the same thing, so no hard feelings bud; it's definitely a far drive, gas is an arm and a leg these days, and unless you have an eta or a 318, our cars aren't exactly the poster child of... "Economy"

            Best of luck on your build! Waiting to see some updated pictures :)

              Does that have a double meaning?, 'cause if it does I want to exchange labor for HARD labor with you.....

              Oh yeah, good luck with your swap OP. ;)

                            Use Hex head bolts on the starter bolts. You'll thank me later for it. E-Torx may lock better, but I haven't had a single issue & it makes getting the starter out easy in like 10 minutes easy.

                              I can't believe this thread is still catching traffic haha

                              Thanks for the tips man. Finally got smog an registn nonsense taken care of. Now I can start focusing more on my build and most importantly, my swap :-D
