          That shit happened to me as well, but I couldn't pursue any organization, so just keep at it and get an "is" lip out of it.

          If you're concerned about the car, let me know so I can check out your steering rack or subframe if you're still in town.

            I hit a cone too. Middle of he might it was tipped over & my lights couldn't hit the reflective strip. So didn't see it until it was too late. Crumpled my valence like a beer can & I was only doing 40. Thankfully nothing else broke.

              Do you still have the cone? Does it have any markings stating who's cone it is? If you can prove that you have the cone that took out the front of the car, that pretty much says they lost a cone. Assuming there is paint transfer from your car to the cone, it much catches them in a lie. Still, they could try to stick a possession of stolen property on you for having the cone that took the front end of your car out. :( This might be a tough one to win.
