A LED lit postlamps area would be cool. Definitely needs some scouting in SJ

hmm. i cant think of any places that have that type of lighting. does anyone have a place in mind? even though the lighting might not be that great in the home depot parking lot, the starbucks is open till late making it a prime location for some night time cars and coffee.

what type of lighting does the plant have? ill have to check it out.

I think the plant uses the LED lit lamp posts. but it's not crazy lit out there at night though

Spencer, what sort of camera are you using? Whiiiiiiiiite balance! ;)

Actually, I think there's a city ordinance about the yellow street and parking lot lights. The yellow light doesn't interfere as badly with the Lick Observatory telescope, otherwise it'd probably be a lot easier to find some natural lighting.

Are there any good parking garages in the area? I've always found that the garages with good florescent lighting works pretty well, especially if your camera allows for a custom white balance.

ive never played with white balance on a DSLR, maybe ill have to give that a shot! pretty sure my old but usefull rebel XT has WB.

i imagine a newer parking lot with a starbucks in the area has better lighting, the ones here in napa almost all have white light.

while that sounds like a good location, i dont believe its in our best interest. a place such as santana row would be too populated on a friday night and we'd be the center of attention.

                        thoughts?

VF/SR is a terrible idea. There's gonna be WAAAY too many people, to the point that even finding parking (as in, for just a couple cars) may be hard.
The first car I ever rode in was an e30
