    New To The Scene

What's up guys, I'm pretty much new to the scene. Just purchased a 1988 325i E30. I'm located in the long beach area and was wondering if there's anyone in the area that is knowledgeable with motor work. That can come and check out my car to tell me what I need fix. I have a weird clicking noise coming from the motor and I don't know if it just needs a valve adjustment or something else. Just don't want to go to some random place and get ripped off. I'd appreciated if someone in the area can help. Thanks

Join the BMW Car Club. www.bmwcca.org

    LA chapter http://www.bmwclubla.org/

Go to some events and read your local chapter's newsletter. There usually is a technical adviser listed on their site. These are the people who can and are willing to help you. Bear in mind, they might get you to try some high performance schooling.

It is addictive, be careful. Before you know it you're dreaming of Hawk brake pads and sticky tires. It's like a drug.

Thanks guys for the response. Is there anyone in the long beach area? Someone I can meet up and have a listen to my motor. Then try and figure out what the problem might be from hearing the sound.

Try going to a local meet, most guys are pretty chilled and can point you to a shop in your area. The only place I can think of close to LB, is South Bay independent. It's near the 91frwy off Vermont & Artesia, try them those guys know e30s.

Those guys can be pricey at times but, I can honestly say that they do know their e30 BMW stuff.

I'm in the eastside. Which part of long beach are you located in?

It just sounds like a ticking coming from the motor.
