I think i blew my m20 engine! so i think its time for a a engine swap!

    i put the car in neutral, made sure the back tires were off the ground and removed the bolts of the drive shaft. there is a few skid plates in the way so it just took them off. jacked up under the tran just to hold it in place. i turned the drive shaft to get to all the bolts.

      removed the intake mas air flow, and throttle body. while this was happening, i drain all the oil, trans and motor and then the coolant too.

      i bagged and tagged bolts and hoses

        started the exhaust, this is the back took it off.

          next took out the spark plug harness and distributor cap to get to the exhaust headers.
          im looking to up grade btw! any ideas!

                  removed this fan clutch, tricky lil bugger! i had to remove the entire water pump vice grip the thing and took a wrench to get it off and put it on the replacement engine.

                    this is what happened! to my engine. so change those timeing belts fellas! so you wont have to deal with the aftermath.
                    any who, i changed the one on the replacement motor. i took pictures ill post it on a other thread.

                      so guys this is where im at. got the engine out, got the new one, but the transmission is not going in completely! uggghhh! check it out.
                      this pic show my new engines tranny part where it connects to the torque converter and flywheel. the hole where the torque converter is inserted is not opened.

                        heres where the tranny came from, same engine type, same year, just this was a auto vs the stick. so my question is, is there any way to get this to happen to my other engine?

                            There's a pilot bearing in there. Pull it out and you'll be set.
