Ireland Engineering hosting drive/BBQ this Saturday

The hard and dedicated work of the CA Dept of Forestry firefighters and LA County Fire Units have resulted in the San Gabriel Canyon area being now open after the Williams Fire. That means our Glendora Mtn Drive will be exactly that! Here's the route:

9 AM Departure time. We'll drive up the Mountain Road and then along the tricky Glendora Ridge Rd to Mt Baldy Village. We'll turn around and head back along the ridge and down to East Fork, where the fire began. Then out of the Canyon on CA 39 and back to Ireland Engineering for an open house and lunch. Bring your checkbooks and pick up some great performance parts from IE. Jeff usually announces a special when we arrive, just for the day and for the SoCal Vintage Drive group.

OK lets hit the mountain Saturday!!

    Jeff & John
I know this is late notice, If you're on the SoCalVintage email list then you've already seen this. Those who want to skip the drive should plan on being at IE around noon. This isn't a super formal "open house" event, just a good way to spend the afternoon (although there will be a couple of pretty nice cars on hand).

      As quoted it's back open.

I'll miss the drive but I'll be at the open house! No E30 though. :(

I'm debating on going on the drive, it's a blast but not for the feint of heart if John's leading the pack.

        See you out there Matt.

Easy as pie. Get it done in the morning and make the open house around noon. :)

Careful Matt. There are no straights in the mountains. Hehe.

The drive was a blast with my new sways on, first socalvintage drive I've been on in a few years. If you've ever been on one you know that it can get rather "exciting" near the front of the pack. Matt next year I challenge you in the '02.

                            BBQ was nice and low-key.
