Thinking about attending some events in the near future. I've done some searching and all i come up with are events at autoclub speedway. Are there any events that are not as far of a drive?
auto-x events in L.A. area?

El toro air field and qualcom stadium in sd. If you want bigger track events you can do willow springs, button willow, sonoma and laguna Seca. Better variety with big track events.Comment

those autox's by speedventures are really fun. you get a lot of runs and no cone work but no instruction from what i recall. fairly small/short course. leaders of the pack run between 36secs-45ecs. i'm hoping to run my old 318 out there this november.
bmwcca used to have LA runs but i haven't kept up with it. SD has them too at qualcomm but in both cases working the cones is draining and make for a really long day for only 13-18 runs. although the SD events have really fun longer courses. i like the cars that show up to at qualcomm, i once saw an instructor's dinan e39 m5 with all seats loaded and it was running hard. drifting around cones with 5 people in it is a funny sight.sigpicComment
