Hey guys, so I have a check engine light on which is preventing me from getting my car smogged. I to couple of mechanic shops today and none of them carry the OBD1 scanner which is for the older models for our cars. I was wondering if you guys know any place that I can take my car to get it checked. Thanks much

do it yourself with a Stomp Test.
turn the key to the on position
"stomp" on the throttle five times quickly but not flashfast
now pay attention to the CEL, it will flash once, then begin to give you the code
it will be a four digit code read out like morse code, remember that code,
write it down if you have to and you'll be pointed in the direction of the fault.
it may read several codes, one after another so be patient and pay attention.

Doesn't the bentley manual list the stomp codes as well??
