    I know I've replaced my radiator before but it was in the shop for other work and my dad was paying for it and told them to do it. I told my dad I could do it myself but he wanted the shop to do it. He seems to think that shop monkeys are something special and that I might break things when I know I won't. I rebuilt the cylinder head on my e30 with Google for Christ's sake.

    A brand new behr is around $200 and can be installed with a flathead. You can use an auto 530/540 radiator for the time being if necessary but if you got raped that much for the install I would take it back and demand they fix it.

    Yeah they should provide at least a year on the parts/labor and the manufacturer should provide some type of warranty to cover manufacturing defects at minimum. Maybe it was damaged during shipping or something.

    reputable shops will stand behind the work and parts they put in, a lot of times the parts store eats up the cost. Give that shop a call and ask, you can't lose by calling, hope you get that sorted tomorrow.

    Anybody have a radiator for a 1994 530i Manual Trans they could bring to the Picnic? And help me install there? lol that would be nice but if I can't get the radiator replaced tomorrow I don't think I'll make it. =(
