So my wheel fell off today.... One of the bolts had already snapped off so I had a shop extract it but I couldn't put a new one in. So I drove about an hour and a half on the freeway to get to Pomona and evidently another bolt broke. So the remaining three decided that they wanted to leave too so as soon as I got off the freeway and pulled up to a stop light the wheel fell off the hub. I was blocking the right hand turn lane for about 45 mins. I didn't break anything other than that one stud so tomorrow I'm taking it to a shop to get the hub replaced so I can still come on Sunday! Thank God it didn't come off on the freeway I would be e34less or DEAD right now.

Blame it on the shop who did your brakes. They over torqued the ship out of those bolts and almost killed you.

^ true 12mm bolts should be torqued down to 85 foot pounds and 14mm up to 95 foot pounds.

The shop that did it is now where I used to live. I'm going to a new shop tomorrow that's going to fix it. I'm just glad that I'm alive and still have my baby in one piece.
