I recently relocated to San Diego a few months ago (Scripps Ranch) and I'm looking for someone that I can rely on to keep my e30 running. I think I need to replace the center support bearing. I get a violent vibration (almost a banging) underneath the car when I accelerate hard from 1st to 2nd gear. It's getting worse, and I want to get it fixed asap. I wish I was more mechanically competent so I could fix it myself.
I appreciate any suggestions on mechanics in San Diego.
