Speaking of which, has anyone been before? Whats to expect, at least on the last two days where theres nothing particular going on.

I'm staying with my buddy, he made all the arrangements, as far as hotel stay. Never been and want to see what all the fuss is about.
Maybe we can all get together somewhere and roll out together real early?

He's suppose to let me know when, sometime this week, as I am not the one driving, it is up to him but, I'll keep you posted.

Well I guess I'll be going the 27th, I was on my way out when my temp gauge suddenly pinned it self in the red, turns out the throttle body gasket went on my way out

          Yeah that could work!

I just posted up on a separate thread to see if I can get an idea of what exactly is happening that weekend. Noticed its $65 to register, but they dont offer a 1-2 day pass, that $65 covers the whole week so wondering what we'd be doing while at the event, or if you dont exactly need a ticket.

Wow, lots of epic cars racing at Laguna this weekend. Saw lots of 2002s, E9s, and later cars, but very few normal E30s. There were likely 30 E30 M3s rolling around, but I only counted 3 non M3s for the weekend. That was kinda shocking. I found a way to park my car down in someone's pit next to an R32 Skyline GTR. (Flashbacks to the 1991 Australian Touring Car Championships, R32 vs M3). The downside to the weekend was picking up a nail in each of my left side tires, one went flat, the other is still holding air. I seriously don't have the $ for 4 new tires.

How early? I ask for I haven't booked yet. But I have Friday off might just drive Inn a day before. Just looking for options. A caravan would be nice.

Well since so many E30s are modified the crowd isn't really with the concours crowd...

I wasn't with the concours crowd either. I was with the racing crowd. There were tons of modified 2002s.

We were up there from Thursday the 18th until Monday the 22nd. We were at the track all three days for the Monterey historic's and we were at Quail golf course on Friday then we attended the legends of the autobahn including dinner there. Saturday was mostly at the track including exotics on Cannery Row.

Sunday we were at Pebble Beach early in the morning and went to the BMW Villa in the afternoon, we ended up back in Laguna Seca in the evening for the vintage formula 1 race.

It's true, I only counted four non-E30 M3's in four days time, there were however a great number of E30 M3's and many exotic and rare BMWs that you normally would not see anywhere else, not to mention many other exotics from all makes.

We booked our hotel 10 months in advance and it still cost a great deal of money. We looked up prices for even Motel 6 two months before this event and it was $1040 per night
Look up the rest of the prices for the historic's tickets, quail resort and golf club for Friday, and pebble beach on Sunday. This will probably explain why there were virtually no non E30 M3's LOL

Looking forward to checking it out this weekend, just hoping it'll still be entertaining.
