    rotella syn 5-40...... most wear damage happens at startup and I want the oil getting to the dry spots quickly....

        Back in VA I would run VR1 20-50 in my m20 and m30. Now that I have shop wholesale prices here, I run Total Classic or Racing 20-50. The Total man says they're the same thing, but I feel like they probably have different additive packages.

            we use brad penn 20w50 and liquimoly 15w40 OR rotella T for winter applications.

                what do you guys run in south TX ? 5w30 seems to be the goto. Any suggestions s50US

                    I run Castrol 20W-50 year-round here in South Florida.
