Crankshaf bolt tool for loan/rent in Bay Area

    Hello,

Does anyone own the special crankshaft pulley stabilizer tool and live in the Bay Area?

I just got an e30 and in the process of changing the belts the crank pulley came loose, which means it wasn't on tight enough in the first place.

I'm aware of the alternate methods of fighting, but prefer to just use the tool if anyone has one.

Worst case I'll buy it and then loan it out to the next guy that needs one.

    Cheers
    MC

The 22 mm bolt on the front of the crankshaft.

Thats what I was gonna say. Take a junkyard crank pulley, weld it to a pipe, bolt it on finger tight with at least 4 bolts, then hit that 440ft-lbs or whatever the fuck it is.

I'm not much of a welder... but I managed to get a hold of one of the ones Pelican sells from a friend.

If anyone ever needs a to borrow shoot me a pm, happy to loan it out.
