Well, we have 48 hours to make a 13 hour trip... so it should be doable. ;)

I only have a couple concerns: (the first 2 tributed to a bad trans)

1: the shift linkage STILL hits the guibo in 5th, I'm hoping that it wears its small groove in the guibo and we make it.
2: Now that the shift linkage is tight as a virgin mary, we can get it into 2nd and 4th. Won't be surprised if I only have R 1 3 and 5 for the return trip lol. Once we shoehorned that thing in, there was NO WAY that we were going to take it back out. Freaking busted ass transmission. Grrrrrrrrr.
3: Cooling system - Not yet been put "to the test". This is an area of concern on most M30 swaps. However, I think if this is going to be our problem, she will rear her ugly head before we get out of the Portland Metro area.
4: Exhaust - I may be deaf by the time I get down there.
5: Power steering - another wonderful unknown. Fortunately, PS is a luxury.

If you guys have any prolbems let me know. I have every tool you'll ever need...Welcome to limp it into my garage and if need be to *borrow* parts...

Regarding the cooling system - if you don't have an electric fan, Watch out for overheating at anything below 15 MPH. Otherwise you'll be good. If your gauge is working that helps a LOT....

Be gental with that shifter, if it "hooks" into the guibo, it will bend your selector rod and end your trip real quick...(I've bent a selector rod, and no matter how much force you apply, you can never get it in gear..)

I think there is a BMW dealer in Medford OR, then after that Sacramento...I've got matanence stuff, rotor, caps, plug wires, ect...Every nut and bolt you can think of...compleate suspention, and god knows what else...

                    Joe, you have my cell...

Oh and incase we don't talk, after going over the "shast lake" bridge, slow down for the next 10 miles - you will round a bend, and a CHP *will* be there...after that it's an easy 90MPH run to redding. Slow down through SAC, then depending on your route, in the Bay aera you can drive like mad men...

fuck me, i just pulled an all nighter. Its 4:22 and I just pulled my car out of the shop to where i usually park in the morning when i get to work...

Im supposoed to be here at 7, so im just gonna stay up. My goddamn stomach is killing me too though. I pretty much screwed myself, no breakfast, didnt get a chance to go to lunch and I had no transportation for dinner foods. Hungry and without sleep sucks BEYOND BELIEFFFFFFFFFFFFFF! :hitler: Been sustained by apple juice's from the shop fridge. Yeah, theyre really fvkin helpful

As fasr as the car goes, there are some things iwa ntd to finish on it, but I'm just going to leave off. The last thing besides packing the detailing stuff i want to bring and clothes etc, that i;ll be doing is painting my narsty arse grilles to make them look halfway decent. I hope t he paint dries enough so that it doesnt get pulverized on the drive down by bugs, tough shit i guess if it does.

                      um, goodmorning?

My M50 isn't ready for the journey and last year sucked as having to drool all over Matt's car with mine being over a thousand miles away. The party at the Ramada was tits but the hangover the next day at the fest was the suxorz.

Dude, get some beer and cigarettes. That staves off the hunger. Or get a Snickers, they arent shitting around when they say that shit relieves hunger. Or just do a line of whatever. Just one line will keep you cool for at least 8 hours. Youll be disgusted at food.

*Disclaimer: This modrater neither condones, participates in, or supports rampant and copious drug use. The only way I know these things is through lots of studying and reading in Health books. ya.....

Matt- My house or yours. Mines a lot more conducive to washing and polishing/waxing plus I have a random orbit buffer and 3M stuffs. Your decision.
