Toronto Area Classic BMW Meet, Cruise & Movies - Saturday, April 15th, 2017

We're having a classic BMW meet and cruise on Saturday of the long weekend, ending at the drive-in theatre near Newmarket for a triple bill including the new Fast & the Furious movie.

We've set meet-up points in Cookstown, Woodbridge, Aurora, and at the drive-in theatre in Sharon (Newmarket area), so we hope you can make it to some or all of the event. If your car isn't out for the spring yet, bring your daily and meet up with us anyway!



Here's the plan:

Saturday, April 15th, 2017

3:30 pm - Hwy. 400 & Hwy. 89 Carpool Lot
3311 Hwy. 89, Cookstown, ON L0L 1L0

For anyone who lives north of the city in the Barrie area, feel free to meet up with us at the carpool lot at Hwy. 400 & Hwy. 89 next to the Cookstown Outlet Mall and drive down the 400 with us.

4:00 pm - Drive to Woodbridge

4:30 pm - Tim Hortons
3650 Langstaff Rd., Woodbridge, Ontario, L4L 9A8

Meet & coffee stop at Tim Hortons in Woodbridge near Langstaff Rd. & Weston Rd., next to Petro Canada. If you're coming up the 400 from the city, exit at Langstaff Rd, one exit past Hwy. 7.

5:00 pm - Cruise Departs

Mid-Cruise Rally Point - No Frills Plaza Car Wash
Yonge St. & Murray Dr., Aurora

Meet at the car wash (coin-op spray wash) parking lot behind No Frills. Bring some coins if you want to give your car a quick wash. Lots of options just up the street so you can grab food /coffee / snacks for the movies.

~7:00 pm - 7:30 pm - Stardust Drive-In Theatre
893 Mount Albert Road, Sharon, Ontario, L0G 1V0

Tickets are $13 per person for 3 movies. Bring lawn chairs / blankets if you want to sit outside. Dogs are welcome. We'll be parking up front by the screen for The Fate of the Furious. If you're meeting us at the drive-in theatre, make sure to get there early - it's usually packed on the weekend.

8:30 pm - Movies Start!

Movie #2: 11:00 pm - Get Out
Movie #3: 12:50 pm - Split

We're all set for the event tomorrow, and it looks like the weather will be cooperating as well: it's forecast to rain in the morning and early afternoon, then clear up and warm up a few hours before we head south to the meeting point. See you tomorrow! :up:

We had a blast! There was a really small turnout, but we had a great time on the cruise and watching movies at the drive-in until the middle of the night. We might do it again later in the spring / summer if people are interested.
