thanks had the car for a month and got alot of comments on how crappy it is at the picnic non of which were to my face. prob gonna be the last time i show up to any e30/bmw gtg's. at least the vw guys offer up constructive critisism and even offer to help. btw took us 6 hours to get it in and welded and didnt have enough time to fix as we had to give the lift up to the owner to fix his race car. its gonna be fixed this weekend and its 100x better then the rusted out piece that was in there.

Yeah in that pic that emmick posted the color looks more like calypso is supposed to look .
And yes I can see the Rx's now ...in those other sharper angles it kinda looked like DSI's or II's .

Oh and I finally see Josh's car ..right next to the rookie striped green beast . :D

Does anyone know if this Calypso car has been resprayed ?

That Calypso is not resprayed. It belongs to Andrew (a.k.a. W7VJ) and the factory paint is in great shape.

You may be thinking about the one below. It is definitely a respray and definitely darker than factory Calypso. My car (the vert below) is a pretty good respray with very good color matching. The paint is in good shape but has plenty of rock chips on the hood.

Ok so it is not just me then .

From the first pic where I spotted that car in the background I thought it looked a different .
I have an Calypso E30 and have thought about painting an e30 that color as it one of the more rare colors out there .
Either way that cars color comes across good .

Was it also sportin 5-lug ?
Wheels see to be DSI's or DSII's from those angles .



And yes Josh is "Mr Anderson" or "Eurospeed" or "Eurospeed88"
Although I prefer "Jordanspeed88" . :D

my brother, my dad, and i were actually having a conversation about whether or not that calypso was resprayed, my dad's whole arguement was that it was in too nice of condition, but i know of at least one calypso with original paint that looks brand new. that one does look odd though, there was a resprayed bronzit there as well, and an alpine

and i don't know who josh is...but check my thread on bf.c, i don't really wanna repost all of those, i have a link a page or two back

my brother, my dad, and i were actually having a conversation about whether or not that calypso was resprayed, my dad's whole arguement was that it was in too nice of condition, but i know of at least one calypso with original paint that looks brand new. that one does look odd though, there was a resprayed bronzit there as well, and an alpine

Does anyone know if this Calypso car has been respayed ?

Just seems darker and a little weird ..maybe its the overcast conditions .
I like it though .

And did I just miss it or did no one take pics of Josh's Eta at the picnic ?
Or is it so bland that nobody showed it any love by snapping pics . :D
