Finally got an E30

^ exactly. the problem with german TÜV compared to on Base is that EVERYTHING that isn't OEM needs to have the correct papers (AKA the BBS RS on my M3 have no paperwork, therefore i cannot pass TÜV).
Actual wear items, yes, i agree, the onbaset insp. is a bit harder- and it is every year- german TÜV is every 2 years!

You will have no problems with a swaped car on base, it is also allowed through german TÜV- just costs a truckload of money to get it approved on the German side.

I used to have a 1997 Chevy C1500 with airride and 20" Centeline wheels with German TÜV and plates on it- all legal- was a pain in the butt, but was possible.

oh, and he lied to you and is trying to pull a fast one-- it is 1 year (german law for about 5 years now)

Well it was through his daughter he spoke hardly any English and she spoke more and she was like.. I think 6 months.

Only problem is its 120ish Km away...lol so long way to drive to get work done.

I am in Bamberg its way down south. No, I have no real plans to hit too many shows this year.

If I find a wrecked M3 or anything even close, i would probably end up keeping it for me and add to my e30 collection!

Are you looking to do a M50 swap?? I pulled one out of my e30 that I wrecked, harness, m20 lightened flywheel, new clutch G260 trans with modded trans mount. Easy swap just gotta figure out which exhaust route. I'll let it go for a good price locally, Shit we could even do it at my shop in a weekend. PM me if interested as goes for anyone else.
