Michigan is beautiful in the summer! sandy beaches and warm weather, if you know where to look you can find decent roads. a trip in late spring from the LP to the UP is awesome! not all of Michigan is in a slump either, Grand Rapids is growing!

Houghton or Houghton Lake? I assume Houghton since you're in Wisconson. I went to school at MTU, plenty of friends from WI. ; )

Yup, houghton, Both my brothers went to school at MTU, my younger brother played hockey for the huskeys. I used to run up to Brighton from Lansing in the late 80's to go snowboarding. Cool area, I miss it.
