Do any of you guys wanna meet up with me and a bunch of the baltimore guys on the way to Bimmerfest? We are meeting at the white marsh mall park n ride then driving up 95 to Bimmerfest. That way we can represent the e30's hard all parked next to each other.

Visiting DC, any good junkyards?

Hi Folks,

I'm in town for the weekend. Too, too bad I can't make it to bimmerfest.

I'd like to know though if there are any good junkyards around where I might find BMW parts in the DC, Baltimore, Virginia area.

the one at mt. airy and the one up rt. 40 (bel air?) has the best bmw selections. if you run across any late models, please let me know. i've been trying to find a fuel pump. :/

I checked out crazy ray's this morning. Thanks for the heads up.

There were definitely lots of BMWs there. 4 e30s, 1 e28 and a bunch of e34s, e32s, e36s. I'm sad that most of the cars that I find in the junkyard these days are from the 90s; it means my days are numbered as an e30/e28 owner, as most of my parts over the years have come from the junkyard.

There were 3 late models and an early model vert there. I'm not sure if there were fuel pumps present, as I didn't want to get under any car there. I've never been to a junkyard that looked quite so dangerous. Cars were tenuously propped by jacks and stacks of wheels. It also seems like none of the fluids of the cars are drained before they're put on the lot.

Its quite a shame that the place is so disorganized, because they had some really good cars.

The vert and one of the late models had decent sport seat frames, though the leather on one and the cloth on the other were torn.

Also check out Brandywine. Theres a couple in my area, One of em has a few beemers. And then theres another place by my house that has a couple beemers also. Its called Accokeek Junk Yard tho and no ones ever heard of it. Theres a hand written sign leading to a half mile dirt road that opens up to the most hidden junk yard ive ever seen.lol if you come out here for brandwine or want to check those out gimme a holler. id be down to go also

i was at the crazy rays in mt. airy over the weekend, they had a white 635csi that had been badly rear ended. it was worse than my e28....

it was a 5-spd car, so if anybody wants some parts, they better jump on it.
